Rebuilt and Expanded Farmhouse

Some Historic Homes are worth the effort to save and renew their heritage

The peacefulness of this New England farm and landscape is captured here in the care and preservation of the original farmhouse, sweeping in the natural beauty of the site while bringing up the original structure to Vermont’s green architecture using the sustainable technology available today.

After demolition of the old plaster walls and ceilings, it became apparent the value of the original timber columns and beams were worth saving.  A new foundation was built and all available efficiencies were incorporated to give the worthy farmhouse its newly revitalized charm.  New window, doors, siding, roofs and porches focus the enjoyment of both inside and out.  Views to distant mountains from all rooms were part of the design criteria.  A new brick and stone fireplace is the centerpiece of the open kitchen, dining and living space.
