Stone Farmhouse - 1829

Pennsylvania Stone Farmhouse Receives New Life as a Summer Fishing Retreat

In order to preserve the integrity of the original 30 foot X 30 foot four story magnificent stone farmhouse, two glass structures were added to transform it to a Fishing Lodge.  One glass structure houses the living room, while the other an ‘Orvis Room’ displaying all the fishing gear from waders to fly fishing rods.  The harmony created by this ‘Fishing Lodge’ with the stream in front makes an exciting escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  Restoring the stone work, the windows, the fireplaces and the wood beams were essential to saving and restoring the 200 year old farm now transformed into the finest ‘fishing camp’ in the state of Pennsylvania.
