Melanie re-joined the firm of Robert Carl Williams Associates, P.C. in 1997 as an Architectural Designer. Projects include several new buildings, renovations and additions for residential and commercial projects such as the new maintenance garage and Bingham’s Cottage at Stowe Mt. Resort, (10) new condominiums for Canyon Ranch Resort & Spa, Lenox MA, and renovation/revitalization of the Kazon Building in West Rutland, VT into offices and subsidized housing, providing architectural design/drafting, project coordination, client meetings and site inspections.
In an interim period between 1995 and 1997 Melanie honed her experience as an Architectural Designer at NBF Architects, P.C. She was responsible for design/drafting, engineer coordination, client meetings and site visits. Projects included school renovations and additions of Mill River Union High School and West Rutland High School, the Adams House Renovation Project for Rutland County Community Land Trust in Fair Haven, and the Multi-Modal Transit Center in Rutland, Vermont.
Melanie worked for Robert Carl Williams from 1994-1995 as an Architectural Designer and projects included the Rams Head Lodge addition in Killington VT; the Wilcox Pharmacy addition in Rutland, VT; and several custom residential homes. She also has experience in mechanical and electrical drafting, as well as structural steel detailing.
Prior to joining the firm Melanie was an Architectural Draftsperson from 1993-1994 at David Crawford Architects, P.C. Projects that she was involved with include the new gymnasium for the College of St. Joseph; new entry at Rutland Regional Medical Center; several restaurants and Dunkin Donuts convenience stores in Rutland and surrounding areas.
Currently Melanie is pursuing a “Certified Green Professional” (CGP) designation through the National Association of Home Builders while also working to obtain her architectural registration.
